Membership in the NSWCAA costs $20 per year, is due in September, and is good until August the following year. Application for new membership can be obtained from any member of the executive, or by using the application form below. Renewal of membership can be done through our Membership chairperson, or any member of the executive.
The club distributes a newsletter four times a year for its membership. Upcoming events, association business, carving tips, library list and related subjects are featured in this publication.
The club also maintains an extensive library of books, videos, study birds, study fish and study bills for use of the members. A mail service is provided for members living outside the metropolitan Halifax area.
The club meets every Thursday from September to June at the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History on Summer Street in Halifax for carving sessions, with a short 1/2 hour business meeting every third Thursday of the month. The sessions include workshop carving projects, but members are also welcome to work on their own carvings. We also have advanced carvers or invited guests to demonstrate specific carving techniques or special interest subjects. Classes and instruction are available through individual members and continuing education courses.
